View Full Version : s15
hi,
Just wonder how much would it cost for a S15 imported from Japan.?
can any of the S15 owners in the UK help....
just want a rough idea..
cheers
Dunno mate,
Bought mine already in the uk.
They seem to go over here for anything between 12k and 18k.
Speak to an importer and see if they can get you one.
Andy Barnes of Sumo power would be a good starting point as would Newera imports.
good luck.

 Yep, 18k for a low mileage SpecR Aero. Under 10k for a SpecS, but don't bother - you want a SpecR.

Misachi,
I've sent you a pm.
Nick
Nick, could you PM me as well please as I'm interested in getting a S15 - ta.
My Spec R Aero cost £19k with 800 miles on the clock (In essence brand new). That was in late 2001. As these cars are not made anymore, you will be unlikely to find really low mileage ones around, but you never know your luck. Talk to Direct Car Imports, Charlesworths, Newera etc as they have contacts at the Jap auctions.
I have noticed on autotrader that there are a few for sale. 1 x Spec R (4yrs old, 12-13k) which would be worth buying due to its rarity and about 4 x Spec S's (upto 4 yrs old, 8-10k).
Worth at least a check. :)
hi greg,
19K sounds a lot for a second hand car, but I am pretty sure it is well worth it.
I am planning to buy a S15 at about 13-14K ( approx year 2000 ) car. Still looking.......
What colour is ur car anyway.?
regards

I think if Greg's car came up for sale now with the same miles on someone would snap your hand off at the same or similar price.
Just look at the gaining interest on this site alone. My mates are amazed at the amount of attention I get when driving around. I took the car to a new dealership for a service the other month and when I went to get it they were asking me what the differences where between a Spec-R and a Spec-S as they couldn't find a Spec-R on Autotrader.
I am still led to believe that there are only about 12 Spec-R's in the UK and little or no more coming in at present. Demand and supply.
What price do you pay for a unicorn?
Is his the red 52 plate one on Autotrader?

No. He said he bought it in 2001.
I wouldn't sending messages on here anyway, I would be phoning that person up if you want very cheap Aero with no miles on!

Well, too late fellas. I just spoke to the guy and it was sold to the first person who called. He was absolutely gutted at selling it at that price but just had to sell it quick.
Someone has just had a bargain! Wonder if it's someone from off here?
oh.. no!!!
a bit too late.... that s absoultely a bargain.. cant believe he sold the car at 11500. the car should worth 17K at least at that age...

couldnt you buy a spec S for about £8k ish, a masa engine conversion harness for about £100, S15 Spec R ecu from japan and lob a SR20DET in it? just use the 5 speed, its stronger. recon its doable for £10 easy, spend £4-5k on modz and youll have one mental car :D just my 2p for that kinda cash? but i think sideways, its not my fault :p :wack: lol

It will always be a Spec-S in anyones eyes but you own.
P.s. I've heard all this horse $hit about the 5 speed being stronger before........the 528bhp Spec-R sold recently had the 6-speed in, how strong do you want it? Anyways, what do I know, mines 300 bhp and the box is tighter than a mouse's ear-hole and I ain't getting into that in this thread

bring it drifting and let me test the box for you :p lol
an S15 is an S15 wether its spec S, R or bloody Z! they rock. But standard cars, no matter how cool are so :ghey: everything needs aero! anyone seen the vertex ferrari 355? so much better.
mods and being unique are where its at! I still want an S15 of any kind, badly!

How badly do you want one?
FYI My aero is silver/blue, with black leather interior:)
Wouldn't sell it as want to modify it to break that magical 300bhp barrier. Sorry guys and gals!
Went to check a Spec S out last week and was told that it had sold the day before to a guy in Portsmouth. It was advertised on Autotrader for £8k. :(
If you need a S15 - talk to an importer or a import garage (jap Village, Newera, Car Imports Direct, Charlesworths etc). They can still get new ish ones, but don't forget they weren't made after August 2002. :(
