View Full Version : Oh no! my poor little mate

Took my Chinchilla to the Vet earlier cause poor little boy has been off his food and generally looking a little down:(

And they've kept him in as he needs to have an op tomorrow on an overgrown tooth :(

They have got to knock him out to do the op (so naturally I'm worried for him) and now I'm really missing him tonight as his cage is empty and he's not bounding about:(

Hope he'll be alright :cry:

Friend of mine has a chinchilla, i had to feed it for her when she was on holiday... Cute little things arent they.....


...until they take a fooking great chunk out of your hand as yer putting their food in :mad:

They ar very cute but its all the cleaning of the cage every week that annoys me!

my ex asked me to look after her 2 pet rats when she was moving house..1 year later I still have them!! (well one of them anyway as the other died:( ) She didn't want them back but I didn't have the heart to take them to a pet shop so I put up with the cleaning :rolleyes:

Hope all goes well with the op:thumbs:

i always wanted chipmunks but they are too hyper.

Just got back from picking him up:D

Poor little dude is somewhat drowsy :(

But I'm sure he'll be fine after a bit of a sleep:D

is this what they refer to as drool or something like that?? was the tooth a front one or a back one?? i have five of the little monsters, and ones got a constant damp/wet patch running down his front, he's still eating very well and fine apart from this...any ideas?

Does sound like the front teeth are too long, cause he can't shut his mouth :( (does he have runny eyes too? )

Mine had a problem with his back teeth so he's just been off his food and feeling sorry for himself:(

Vet did ask if he was drooling when I took him in (but he wasn't) maybe a good idea to get little dude checked out:o

Cost me £50 to get him sorted out (lots of money but worth every penny cause he's my little mate :thumbs: )

Just check under his pillow. You'll probably find ChinchillaXXX Babes Monthly. That'll explain the drool. :wack:
