View Full Version : Can I tow car without MOT, tax & insurance

I've just about completed priming my whole car. All the lights are out. I'm needing to take it down to the spray shop.
Is it legal for me to tow the car. It dosnt have insurance, MOT or tax.
I just need to tow it 7 miles from where I live

AFAIK, yes. Its counted as a trailer I think but you should have working tail lights/indicators.

Nope you can't, it would need to be on a trailer

It is still classed as a motor vehicle and needs MOT, Tax, insurance etc. Even taking the engine out won't work alter things.
