I have insurance on it, and I get to drive it every now and again thanks to Skip and Tanj who sit with me, it's just I hate having to ask :(.

Test booked for November 28th (which happens to be my Birthday as well... great!)

Spose it's been made worse by seeing that repeat of Britains worst driver.

the insurance must be killer :|

do you think your pass first time ?

what are you weak on ?

i was crap and 3 point turns but i got lucky and it never came up in the test :D

I failed my first on something that no one feels I should of failed on, I took a wrong exit on a round-a-bout (I was bloody nervous), I was supposed to take the 3rd and I took the 4th, however I realised very quickly I was going to miss it, so instead of making a dangerous turn in the 3rd exit, I indicated and took the 4th (never a danger to anyone), then did a 3 point turn (again with good observation :)), and went on the round-a-bout and took the proper exit, however on return, the examiner said I wasn't a danger to anyone however he had to fail me because of not counting the exits, obviously no one i really misses exits, just me  . My driving instructor did have a bit of a word with him, he wasn't happy about it.

Oh well, all the best drivers past 2nd time I am told :wack: .

he should have passed you i belive

the fact you take a wrong turn is inconsequential

you did all the right actions for comming off the roundabout (signaled ect) it just was not the chosen exit.

my instuctor told me that.

if you go the wrong way its o.k as long as you did it safely

james. (passed first time  )

Unfortunatly, there is nothing I can do to appeal against it really, if there is, it's probably easier and cheaper to book another test (which I did the next day), I was absolutly gutted I failed, I wouldn't of minded if it's something I can improve :(.

It's all been a bit strange getting my little car, I knew (and probably still know) nothing about cars. However I have learned a lot by getting it, though I didn't really want it as a first car as such, I love it too much, I don't want to damage it (so I drive it like an old granny :D).

Ta for letting my know that you passed 1st time  :furious: ;) :smash:

Could be bollocks, but I recall being told that you could ignore every direction instruction from the examiner, and as long as you drove well, he couldn't fail you. Probably is crap, actully :)

The only person I know to pass perfectly first time (ie with absolutely no minor errors) ... er... subsequently did time for killing two people in a car crash. :( So don't worry about taking two tests!

bloody hell, thats horrible, though, it makes me feel slightly better :)

Hmm, not sure if thats acurate Tombs. Can see it now..

Examiner : I'd like you to pull in here, and prepare to carry out a 3 point turn!
You : No - f*ck off!! :furious:

But to fail you for taking a wrong exit is unbelievable, as long as you took the wrong exit safely.

It seemed quite harsh at the time, I was never a danger at all, I knew I had taken the wrong turn, I never panicked, I just took the next turn off, and when safe I turned around and got back on course. Oh well, at least more people agree it was silly :).

However, doesn't stop the fact that my 86 is outside, and I am sure it is lonely.... ;) :)

you cant fail for taking wrong exits, stab him.

my instructor told me that if I was asked to go down a certain road (which is a nightmare, cars paked both sides, blind corners) to just drive past it and take the one after....
