I need a new set of cold platinum plugs.
Could anyone recommend a set and what make/model number?

Go for NGK platinums in the 7 temperature range 7 (PFR7)........ I'm not sure what S14's use, they maybe the same as the S13.

I have some HKS SuperFire Iridium plugs (Model S35i) on the way hopefully. They're actually manufactured by Denso. They are somewhat expensive, but long lasting, and are supposed to give better performance when you up the boost. I have read up quite a bit of detail on this and I'm fairly certain they have definite advantages over platinum plugs.
For normal platinum type plugs I couldn't see any reason to go with anything other than the recommended NGK cold plugs (Model PFR7B-9). They do the job. I wouldn't waste your money on Splitfire or any of the other expensive brands as I have not seen anything to indicate they do a better job than regular NGK's.

I use Trust Iridium plugs (8's) @ £66 a set.

FECK !!!
Do you notice a differance between them and standard plugs then?
Suppose you cannot get them from Halfords then http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/rolleyes.gif

NGK platinums last for a silly amount of time.....about 60000 miles I think.
And I could run a larger gap with the platinum plugs @ 18psi.
