Anyone else played Halo on the PC yet ?
Didn't get to play it on the XBOX but have spent a couple of hours (before Stargate) and like it :thumbs:

Is this the beta, or is it out now?

Tbh though, I was never the worlds biggest fan of the XBox iteration, although I could see how well the game was crafted.

Ahhh...Great Game that....I did it twice on the X-Box....

So....someones a fan of Stargate.......I was sooo chuffed when i heard that was coming back.........

Prolly the beta, I can't get any menus, I think it's the vid drivers, can't be arsed toi change them to check it though, is it worth it Dave?

It's not the beta, I er, well I'm evaluating a gold version, not that I condone downloading games from usenet as that would be naughty.

I think it's pretty good, a bit "unreal 2" which I also liked.

Ok, been playing this this evening, ummm good game .... but to get over about 10fps I need to play in 640x480!!! Thats sodding ridiculous!!!

Turning off all detail makes NO difference to speed.

Athlon XP2100+
512MB DDR
Geforce 4 Ti-4600

and 640x480! ffs :mad:

Yes that would be very naughty indeed, and I would never do anything like that either.

I've played the beta (first four levels I think) and it's far better than the xbox version which I played right through coop and a fair way through single player. Some things didn't look right, although I think that was just bugs in the beta version.

Runs silky smooth at 1024+ all detail on max :cool:

funny how theres no open beta, no demo and no UK release but so many people have managed to get perfectly legit copies of it.

That seems a bit odd Dave. I've been playing perfectly well at 1024x768 on a 1GHz PIII with a GeForce 2 Ultra. No slow downs at all.

Figured it out, turned off Ansiotropic Filtering, it hated it.

Stoofer: The minute this is released I'll be buying it :thumbs:

I'll be buying it too, Online Multiplayer on the XBox was such a riot, even tho after 2 games it destroyed my LAN card or somthing. :( So yeah, i'll be getting it just for the Online Play!

We should make a team.. But first dibs on being the driver of the Warthog! :D

No Co-Op mode as in, playing through the one player missions together? Or no Co-Op mode as in Team Deathmatch style? I hope the latter is included cus you cant beat tearing around the maps, 3 up in a Warthog! haha...

I pretty much did Co-Op mode to death on the XBox, did every level on Legenday Difficulty atleast twice.. Was fun!

The scorpion is better :D Bit slow but it's got a huge gun and machinegun and can take at least 4 passengers :)

I think so Keith. This is one of the few PC games thats made me want to come back and do a little bit more :) Im thinking about it when Im not playing it and THAT hasnt happened since HalfLife!
