New Engine

I'm saving up. after my mongoose system, for either a jap import engine from ND or a recon engine. Has anyone had either of these done and what was the total price of all the work etc?
Also, if anyone knows of another cheaper option of where to get a recon/good used engine from, then I would appreciate it.

depends what you are looking for really. Theres plenty of engines about the place (I just got mine for £400 inc Inlet manifold) I am sorting the bottom end on it for peace of mind, although it looked not far off perfect when i checked it. May be worth buying one off a write-off and having it checked yourself. Then its possible to have an engine every bit as good as an ND recon for half the price.

Where did you get your engine Chimp?

I have spent all weekend cleaning breathers (some blocked solid), cleaning AAC and PVC valves and stuff like that.
