Just got back. The car is filthy.
All in all 80 cars turned up, ranging from caterhams, 200sx's, Cossies, Imprezas, all the way to a tiny little Corsa Rally car and all the way up to a Bentley!
Standard of drifting displayed was VERY high. Not only from the pro drivers either. Circuit was very slippey too, as I found out to my cost
My main gripe was the lack of track time. only one run, no practice runs so it was in at the deep end. This is my excuse for not getting to the second round and I'm sticking to it. I managed to get the hang of it and pulled off the sweetest drift round luffield, but that was the last turn. I werent allowed another go and I did ask as well. Pity cos the pro drivers were taking the piss and jumping in whenever.
Quote of the day was from a swedish rally driver who'se name escapes me. He declined the free new shape M3 and drifted the car he came up in. A Diesel Mondeo! Upon hammering the life out of the car, the comentator said to him "Your poor car!!!" To which he replied "Is okay. Is a hire car."
good day out. Not really worth 50 quid for the track time, but well worth it for the specticle and seeing Marc Gene doing endless launches in the F1 Williams
Oh and the donuts I did on the grass on the way out were quite cool too. Well, It would have been rude not to!!!

Shouts to: Pazza, good to say hello mate. all the 200 crew who I saw up there including the guy in the blue S14a behind me on track, the red S15 who was giving the pros a run for their money and the guy in the red corrola, Soooo close mate, better luck next time.

Wasnt't he Pekala or someone...lol fwd drifting...yeag was a good day out...free to watch too, shame about the traffic on the A34 though for me
