can't think of a name yet, but that sounds like it will be a very tidy motor :), plus aussie touring car is feckin ace..
Tidy?
No hope!
It'll be all engine and noise my man
It won't even get a respray - mainly cos a major stack is almost inevitable.
Stats will be approx:
18.9 ft long
1100kgs
3.5 turns lock to lock
450lb-ft
LSD
245 section rear tyres
= big sideways flamespitting dog vauxhall lunacy!
:notworthy :notworthy :notworthy

lol tidy meant in the "awesome" sense ;)
does the GSI3000 come in estate version? ex police auctions might be a good place to look for ur base car :)
Nah - old GSI3000 12v = £400-700
Was thinking that to add a bit of humour to trackdays, some blue lights on the nose would be cool.
Add to the Scooby frightening potential.
Paint it white with red stripes and call it the flying jam sarnie...

The original 'Big Bertha' http://www.sunpoint.net/~mapatsik/protos/car33.html :D
There was a baby Bertha as well. Driven by Gerry Marshall. Saw this thing at the Brighton speed trials the other week, Gerry still drives it. Awesome machine.

I always liked the "Thunder Saloon" racing series. That would certainly be descriptive :D
Or "Bobby" Carlton
The Depetroliser
V8th Wonder
I would like to book a place as well please mate :D :D :D
The thunder saloons were awesome. I remember fast car mag built a hooge 309 GTI one. Shame it died out really.

Putting in the American V8 is deffo the best Idea by far. Rover V8's are a lot more expensive to tune by far, and a turbo one will last about 1 mile before going pop unless you spend thousands on it.
GM 5.7 V8 will take 400 normally aspriated all day. Just ask someone I know that has been tuned to 430 BHP for 30 yes thirty years!
Aren't Yank V8's a lot heavier than the Rover V8????
Bung a supercharger on, you'll be fine. And it'll make an fantastic noise.:smash:

Nah, it was a huge artillery gun in WW1.
What about calling it Betty? No particular reason.
