Nah - the 18 is quite tall innit? (correct me if I'm wrong)

Much better, if you're gonna make the engine swap work, would be an RB26DETT

1000bhp Dolomite

Sorted.

On a serious note - it'll go - as long as you bring the box, diff, mounts, loom, ecu, manifolds, blah blah blah, oh and fuel tank...

sounds like hard work

what would i do ....just rip out the wiring loom and fit it all in the car ??

mmmmm ca18 on webbers :D ;)

well the good thing about the dolomite is it has a very high bonnet line because it was at the start of the life of the car

a fwd....and they changed back to rwd mid production....hence the sprint being born :)

you can stick a v8 in a dolomite and still have room for a party in the engine bay. Not sure if it's a goer if it's a fwd though

no mate.....its rwd

its got a high bonnet line because the dolomite was a fwd car intill 1972 when they changed back to proper wheel drive

yeah you can get a stag or rover v8 in there but its been done....i want jap power

and keep it looking standard except for a FMIC and a BOV mwhahahahah :D

has it got a transverse or longitudinal engine? That's pretty mad though... imagine triumph building a fwd car then thinking 'oh, I've changed my mind, let's make it rwd!' :smash:

longitudinal

they built a 2.0 16v powerplant and they knew that scrabble wheel drive is bad (mmmm kay) so i say there just decent blokes :) imho

no scrabble shite for triumph

but there are now some AWD dolomites kicking around :D

back in the day triumph made a AWD sprint and took it rallying....they put it in a ditch :D and that was the end of it

it was VERY FAST :D

so it's got a proper transmission tunnel then?
I'm thinking complete sprint rear end, a few driveshafts, big box of bolts, angle grinder, mole grips, hammer. Then all you need is a SR20. And a wiring loom, an electrician, a fuel pump, some angle iron and skateboard wheels to make some engine mounts, sprint front hubs and a big bin to put the old parts in.

I'm also thinking 'forget it'

;) ;) ;)
