Started a level 1 Japanese course this evening, how damned cool :thumbs: :cool:
Oh yeah it's great!!! I was doing this for a while :)
Shift work stopped me attending lots of lessons though :(

I was trying to learn by Linguaphone :) Think proper lessons the way to go though..
Will they teach you to read it at all?

I'll be able to take some lessons while I'm studying but I'll wait for a year or two (more time then)
Mako-sensei (who sadly, does not drive a SilEighty. ;) ) said that we will learn to write and read, if only as a grounding in it (as it's not really neccessary for level 1.)

japanese would be a good one to know i think. some fecked up lecturer at my college decided it would be fun to toally forget we were meant to be doing marine engineering and decided to spend 3 hours trying to teach us korean.
we had to put a stop to it. lol
