View Full Version : Quick answer needed please!!!!!!!!!!!
Chaps,
How much will a major service at a main dealer cost and how much for a set of front pads fitted?????
The reason I ask, I'm looking at buying an S14 and it needs a full service at 36k(It missed the 30k as far as I can tell) and new pads and I'm trying to figure out how much to offer the seller.
Also needs an MOT in August and the rear can is a bit rusty.
Your advice would be seriously appreciated.
Cheers
Dave

I was told a full Nissan main dealer service would be about £140, but I think the bloke was trying to rip me off big time so I could ahve been overquoted by loads.

Cheers Mate, I just phoned the main dealers but only the sales guy was there and he could only give me an estimate for the service and wouldn't even guess the price for brakes, I'm just after some figures that I can try to knock off the price.

Do not take offence to anything I might say, I am completely mad. So jus chill de feck oooot, ok!
Bleedin hell, that's the same as my Almera, are they as pants as the Almera's and as prone to fade? If so I might take a pootle down to SE and get some flash ones.
Cheers for the info, any ideas on a main dealer service?
Dave

£140 for a "C" service ?????
Tell me where that is and I'll book mine in http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/smile.gif
I think I remember an "A" service (oil,filter,lubrication of locks/hinges,check belts,idle speed,steering linkages,brakes and clutch,wheel nut torques,lights and wipers) was £99 inc.
I would guess for the full(C) service you would be looking nearer £300 (as you replace coolant, brake fluid, clutch fluid, platinum plugs (£11 each) etc,etc I would guess 4/5 hrs labour in total at main dealer rates)

You'll have to excuse the ...................'s, my server doesn't seem to pick up any replies unless I reply myself, it's all a bit wierd and I don't understand it, and that's why all the people in IT can charge people the earth and afford brand new M3s.
Thanks for the replies,
Dave

Dave try pressing refresh instead http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/smile.gif That should cure it.
My S14 had it's 36000 mile service two months ago and it cost £240 at a Nissan Main Dealer.
That's with not additional work required.

£240 C service at a Nissan dealer.
didn't have plugs or fuel filter replaced (done previously) but did have the rocker cover gasket and gearbox oil replaced. Just to complicate price comparisons!
