for a TFT monitor.

My old CRT can only do 75hz and it's beginning to play with my mind coz I'm doing much more web coding work now.
My graphics card is capable of 200hz, and I need really a minimum of 80 for comfort (mine claims to do 1024xwhatever @85 but always blanks)...

What would you recommend?
19inch would be good, 17 as a minimum...

Ta!

Uh, have I missed something here?

Don't really know about TFTs, just the more you spend the better the monitor in general. Afaik they only go up to around 75Hz, but it's different on LCD's as they fade out rather than flick off, so 75Hz won't be flickery on an LCD where it will on a CRT. I use my crt at 85Hz as anything lower tends to give me a headache if I use anything lower, but 60Hz on a laptop is fine.

Get a decent CRT monitor, TFT are slow and when sctolling through text etc its too slow to react. For the price of a crappy TFT you got get a top quality CRT
