View Full Version : Peugeot Pull out of motorsport
Well, looks like Le mans will be a bit of a one man band this year with Audi no doubt taking the win, unless all 3 blow up (Fingers crossed)..Rather gutted that the pugs have pulled out of motorsport, Hopefully they will return in a few years like the current manufacturers such as Toyota returning.

Hopefully now they can start concentrating on building their cars properly.
EDIT:
Just read the link:
"Peugeot has chosen to concentrate resources on its sales performance in 2012"
:wack:
No way, they had already been testing it as well :(

Bad news all round even if you are not a Pug fan. I hope Audi don't decide to scale things down as they won't be interested in no competition.
Maybe though if Audi do pull out it might be a good opportunity for a petrol win??
Im pretty sad about that, loved the look of the car and wanted someone to put one over audi this year.

I had 15 lads building the Peugeots so Im proper gutted, but I also have some lads building the Audis and have been told that they are full speed ahead with their planned programme. Weird timing if you ask me as the 908's are pretty much ready to go, theres rumours of a privateer "buying" the works team and running them, we can only hope ......... :)

I guess there will be some 908s there as Pescarolo will have his. I think Oreca have got them as well.
Shame about your boys at Pug, try at Oak Racing as they have gone into partnership with Morgan for LM. Although perhaps they need carpenters :-)
