Went to Brighton last night and, just as you get into the city, there are some roadworks narrowing the road.
Just as we got up to these works (opposite the MG Garage) there was a cyclist not keeping to the left. Wobbling her way just off the central line, she kept looking over her shoulder.

So I hang back. It looks like she's either stupid or about to move out into the right lane. But she doesn't. She stays where she is. A little further on, the road widens a bit as the works end and the road splits into 3 lanes. She looks over her shoulder. I move up a bit as the road is wide enough to easily pass without slapping her thighs.

She looks over her shoulder. I look at her, she looks at me

and

looks straight ahead again.

"Ahh," I think "she isn't going to move in front of me." I'm in my parents car (with them in it) so haven't got the pace to safely accellerate to get past (my car I could have taken a VERY wide path around the cyclist and got safely back on course before the bollards).

As she's going straight ahead with eyes front and both hands on the handlebars, I swing out a bit and add a little speed.

Then

she looks once quickly directly at me and

SWING RIGHT!

right in front of the bloody car! On the brakes, on the horn. No arms signals, no nothing.

It's a bloody good job i'm not like some other drivers I know who wouldn't have hung back so much and so prolly would have clumped her one...

But I ask you! Got a flithy look too

THEN
jsut getting into town, there is a stupid child pretending to shoot me as I drive past, after running across the road
He's standing in a large parking bay and, at the head of the bay, a woman in a Fiat Panda is reversing, looking in her RVM rather than turning around in the seat. As the child is in the bay and she is reversing through it, I give her a warning
beep-beep beep-beep
which I think is fair given the fact that, in my judgement, she potentially has not seen this child.

Another filthy look! FFS I would always rather someone blippled me than not and I miss something....

You try and be nice...

Most of the time, these cycling cretins have to ride a bike because they're too inadequate to be able to pass their driving licence (which is easy, to that tells you how stupid they are). They've got no fcukin idea, no sense of responsibility and in the event of an accident which is their fault it still has to be paid for out of the car drivers insurance.

However, it's like with Corsa drivers and BMW drivers. The vast majority of them you don't notice because they do nothing wrong, it's just a sizeable minority who behave like tossers.

Driving home last night in the Nissan, a group of kids were standing at the side of the road and threw handfuls of grass at the car as I drove past. You should have seen the looks on their faces as I slammed on the brakes, put it in reverse and went barreling up the road backwards after them :D :D :D DOn't think they'll ever have run so fast in their lives.

I blame the parents. They should never have been allowed to breed in the first place.

Just the other week I was going back into Salisbury after work. Got to a mini-roundabout in the centre of town which leads into my street. This is the sort of roundabout that the 'through' route goes in a diagonal across it (1st and 4th exits) with another (busy) street going up to the station (3rd exit). My street is the 2nd exit and is quite small. The usual action for most drivers is to plow across on the through route as if the rules of roundabouts don't apply.

On this day I approached the RB indicating as usual. There was a bus about to cut across in front of me, but stopped at the last minute. I happened to see some bloke about 80 on a bike go beside the bus (therefore totally obscured). I had already slowed (on the RB) due to the bus and thought 'bet the guy on the bike carries on in front of me'. Slowed to an almost stop right in front of the bus and, sure enough, out comes the old bloke, wobbling all over the place, and stops just short of flying over my side wing and onto the bonnet! If I hadn't spotted him initially...
