was messing about the other week with the applicator syringe you get with thermal compound for HSF's. i rinsed it out using dr. pepper ;) and just left the small platic cup on my shelf being 3/4rs full of dr. pepper looked at it about 2 weeks ago, the level had seemed to go down a bit not too much. next time i looked at it there was mould growingh in the middle of it  and the dr. pepper level had gone down further. looked at it last friday and it looked as if it had gone down much further and the mould had grown considerably. decidied to mark on the cup the level of dr.pepper and make a mental note of how big the mould was. looked at it this mornign the level has gone downa further centimeter! (2 lines on the cup) the mould looks as if it has grown about 1.5mm in diameter as well as that there is somethign else growing at the bottom of the cup now!

what i want to know is what is in this thermal compund to cause such a reaction. am i doing a lisa simpson style thing with her experiment with her tooth and leaving it oin the coke? wonder what my colonisation of people look like :D

I think the Dr Pepper will be to blame! Lost of sugat plus a single bacteria = loads of mould in no time.

I suspect the thermal stuff is still there, providing a material from which your little people will build weapons of mass destruction in order to bombard you with microscopic nuclear weapons....

yeah, the Dr Pepper is to blame mainly.
But just think what those bacteria could be planning... Hopefully it is to work for Securicor as a single celled organism would be more intelligent than some of the employees...

but i've always been told if i have a dodgy stomach drink flat coke cuz all the phosphoric acid in it will kill the nasty bacteria.

so the bacteria that is growing must be good bacteria, in which case is this a concentrated form of yakult or what ever the bio drink thing is called?
