As news goes, this is pretty special! Team Japspeed are honoured to announce their involvement with the Top Gear Live show taking place at the Birmingham NEC Arena on 11-13th November and London’s ExCel on the 24-27th November. Top Gear Live is one of the world’s most-exciting indoor displays; combining the best elements of the hit TV show including Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May, Star in a Reasonably Priced car and of course The Stig. To make this spectacle even better, Top Gear Live has included a range of different motorsport displays for 2011 including Team Japspeed’s awesome drift display!

<!--more-->Earlier in the year, Team Japspeed was asked to perform at the annual Autosport Show with their two Nissan S15s in front of thousands of spectators. Even with limited practice, Team Japspeed completed a total of twelve displays over four days with all drivers and cars performing faultlessly – an element which has given Japspeed the edge over its rivals as well as allowing them to show drifting to the motorsport masses. The inclusion at Top Gear Live will only expand this further.
‘This is an absolutely huge honour for the whole team.’ explains Team Japspeed principal Paul McCallum. ‘We have performed over a dozen times this year around the whole of Europe, but the size and scale of Top Gear is another level – everyone knows this brand. To be able to perform and show the art of drifting to tens of thousands of new people – many who may not have seen it performed before – is a total privilege, and we will ensure they see the absolute best performance possible!’
The four Japspeed cars of Shane Lynch, Steve Biagioni Paul Smith and Shane O’Sullivan (from Japspeed Ireland) will be taking part unleashing over 2000bhp at each display. The slippery indoor surface is not ideal for drifting or producing smoke, but after the Autosport displays the team are more than capable of delivering a truly sterling performance and cannot wait for next month.
