These kits do sell well anyway but if we get a good level of interest then Ill do a discount on engine and gearbox mount kits.

Why do you need uprated engine and gearbox mounts?

The original engine and gearbox mounts were designed to control engine and gearbox movement but with a compromise of eliminating any vibration from the cabin for maximum refinement. This meant the mounts were pretty pants when brand new, add two decades of abuse and theyre not going to be doing a great deal in terms of stopping your engine and gearbox from doing their own thing under hard acceleartion and braking. Fast on/off throttle applications (as in drifting) is going to lead to that big old heavy engine/box combo swinging around under little control and as that mass moves around it does nothing for the handling of the car which gets shunted around as a result.

Thats not to mention what an engine moving around will little control will do for your turbo gaskets. The moving engine is constantly tugging and pulling on all the exhaust joints accelerating failure.

Which mounts are for me?

We offer two types of engine and gearbox mounts, Street and Race. The Street are comparible to the Nismo mounts in that they offer a significant increase over OE but without transmitting excessive vibration into the cabin. The Race kit move things on with stiffer mounting points but they also pass slight vibration into the cabin. The vibration is only really noticable at idle.

If youve a serious road or track car then the vibration feels pretty cool, makes the car feel hardcore but without spoiling it.

When are they due?

We do have good stock of these mounts but theyll be kept to fufill retail sales. The group buy orders will be satisfied by our next sea order which is due to arrive in around 10 weeks.

What do I get for my patience?

Normal retail price on the engine and gearbox mount set is £129.50.

We have run both of them on a range of our own cars and Ive never noticed them move the engine nor have we ever had such a report from any of our customers over the years and we have sold hundreds of these kits now. Theyre extremely popular :)

Ive looked and the numbers on the mounts are the same. I imagine theyre Nissan part numbers as the factory will have used Nissan original mounts to produce the mould for the uprated ones.

Quick question tho , is there a visible difference between the street and race mounts as one of the engine mounts has the shiny dome on the top ,like in your pics ,but the other one is painted black plus there's a slight difference with one of the bolts on one mount than with the other !

Had these fitted for a few days now.

Loving them, they are just right, any stiffer and they would be annoying. I've noticed a few little rattles at idle but found them to be a couple of CD cases and my car keys in the ignition.

We are clean out of gearbox mounts. We can do them at normal retail with a 1-2 week lead time or at the GB price with the next batch due in around 7 weeks.
