It feels like I've been a bit quiet on the foum recently - we've been very busy at the workshop recently and it's beginning to get back to 'normal' levels :)

I thought I'd do a quick run down of what we've been up to - some will have seen these cars before...

We've had a few interesting projects on the go, including a 1975 Alfa with a Nissan SR engine, a Westfield also with an SR.

We're also involved in Giblets MK Indy project with a turbo charged Hayabusa engine. This car is going to be nuts. Anthony built and fabricated the Busa engine install and we're installing a high end S8 Syvecs ECU. We're currently producing the engine loom - its a bit more involved than usual as we're running some fancy features such a drive by wire throttle (using a 350Z throttle body) and as the engine has a motorbike dog box we'll be able to use shift cut and auto blip when changing gear on the paddles :)

We hope to get over 1000bhp per ton from this - the car weighs 504kg and the engine should produce over 500bhp.

Heres some pics:

We're doing more and more 350Z work and it's still going well. Our own car has been tuned to 309bhp with our engine package (H-Dev plenum spacer, H-Dev de-cats and uprev remap), we fitted a set of SuperPro bushes, Racing Logic coilovers and have managed to get around 50-60kg out of the car just from striping the rear interior and fitting bucket seats.

On track at Cadwell:

My next decision with our 350 is whether to build a turbo engine for it (the rings are on their way out and it's burning oil) or install a V8... I know what Bren would say...

If theres anything you'd like us to help with, service or product wise, just let me know.

Thats my mates - we've been fitting a new engine management system to it. I did a basic map on it today up to 1.3 bar. It should be running about 2 bar / 450-500bhp with a bit of luck when its done :)

Both great cars - we didn't do the install work though.

Heads up Jez, when my trucks built (whenever that will be) i would like you lot to map it for me especially seeing as you seem to like 'different' projects :D

What about doing something a little different with the 350z? What about running a turbo and a supercharger on it?

I can't see the point in being different for the sake of it - a turbo and supercharger setup is too complicated and probably won't work that well compared to any gain you might get.

I think I need to decide what I want the 350 to do, i.e. Time Attack, drag, fast trackday car...

Not sure I would Put a V8 in everyone just drops a V8 in these days. Yeah I've never driver a LS but have driven the E55,E63, Clk55.

If your going for a engine conversion how about a Audi/Lambo 5.0 litre V10 they can go upto 700hp with the supercharger kit at below 10psi IIRC or as high as a 1000bhp with the turbo kit not that sure how long that would last tho :S

Or keep it JDM and get the R35 GT-R motor not cheap but could get some amazing results I would think :)

The SR already makes 605bhp. The 350 is bloody heavy, itll need something bigger than an sr

Getting rid of the 6, and replacing with it with an SR :wack:

Think of the noise :(
