People have been asking for a bucket seat group buy so here we go. Its not going to be run as a full group buy, its just case of a limited time special offer.

Harness

KSport FIA approved racing harness with 3" lap and shoulder straps and aircraft style buckle. Can be used as 4 point or 6 point.

Seat mount

Apex sliding side mount seat rails. Note that our rails, unlike others on the market, have a fixing mechanism on BOTH sliders, not just one. Look out for rails with a locking mechanism on just one slider. I had one of these a while ago but the seat can twist backwards and forwards on one side because its free to slide around. Doesnt bear thinking about the potential failure in a serious crash.

KSport bucket seat - the logo will be in ORANGE:

These seats are pretty adaptable. Im 6' and 17 stone and have driven all the way to and back from Germany sat in them and got out without aches or pains. Theyre also slim enough to hold all but the skiniest of skinny peeps in situ all nice and snug.

I was very suprised at just how comfortable these seats are as well. I did a few hundred miles in a single trip in one was quite comfy.

Are the rails available separately??

How much would it be for 2x seats and rails to suit???

Will I need any extra bolts or anything to fit the seats to the rails or rails to the car etc??

Not at the moment, we are relatively low on stock of rails and they sell well anyway as they are well priced at normal retail.

You dont need harnesses? The deals really for complete packages partly to help lower excess stock fo harnesses. We dont have a lot of seats coming, we dont have many rails left but we have oodles of harnesses!

I do want harneses but I want orange ones rather than black to contrast the orange K-sport logo on the black seats. (kind of have a black/orange theme going on in my S13 at the moment)

Ideal harnesses would be the main harness in orange with the a black k-sport logo.

I cant do orange harness with black logo, only the other way round Im afraid :(

Bren, would you be doing any specials on just harnesses as I've got a seat I'm happy with but really need harnesses...

That sucks :( Otherwise I would have had those too :wack: car is black, cage is black, interior is stripped and sprayed black - I think black harnesses might be too much.

They look like nice seats I'm still interested in a price for two seats with rails though. Are the rails super low mount like the driftworks ones?

Also I see the harnesses are FIA approved but are the seats?

Thanks

A seat and a rail would be £279.

The seats are not FIA approved. We do do FIA approved seats but they only come with carbon backed shells and theyre mega bucks.

Are these side mount? I'm 6ft4 and worried if the seat is going to sit low enough? Was thinking of getting just the seat and side mounts and putting on a driftworks super low subframe? Hopefully this would be the best setup for max legroom any opinions??

to answer that for you im 6.4 and ive got loads of headroom with the k-sport seats and apex rails. i worked out that with this seat and rail i gained nearly 2 inchs of headroom over standard seats..

also i put up a guide in the last k-sport seat thread showing how to modify the seats to make them sit lower and further back.. will try and find it now

if not im sure bren can locate the guide i did for you..

Excellent what steering wheel set up do you use? ? And are the big sides on the seat a bitch to live with?

i use a omp boss with a deep dish omp corsica steering wheel, i like how it sits closer to you.

the deep sides can be pain sometimes, for instance when your in a car park and need to get out the car in a tight space. but in my personal opinion i think the advantages of high sides are so much greater than the 1 or 2 disadvantages. they hold you so well through corners and on long journeys you just forget they are even there..

That is a nice discount you are offering there. I have this exact setup in my 14a, they keep you completely still through the corners and I'm really pleased with how comfortable they are to use on a day-to-day basis.

here you go peolple here is my little guide on how and were to cut on your seats to make them sit lower and let you slide further back, before i did this the seats sat a bit too cloes to the wheel for me and was a bit uncomfy, im 6'4" and with the seats now modified i can put it all the way back and i supprisingly i cant reach the steering wheel and i have over 3" more headroom than the stock seat. for the first time of ever owning a car i have to actually slide these forward a few notches to reach the pedals and wheels, its an amazing feeling.

anyway here we go, start of by attaching the sidemounts to the rails then out them onto the seat in the lowest bolt hole at the front, back may differ for how reclined you want yours but mine is the second hole up. if you slide the rail forward you will see it hits the bottom of the seat.

now you need to undo the spring holding the fabric tight and peel the under fabric GENTLY of around the corner so it look like this#
http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj225/disco-nick/200sx%20s13%20july%202010/DSCN0666.jpg
then get yourself a junior hacksaw(even a sharp bread knife work on the first corner for me till i found my hacksaw) and mark on both sides were you think it will be enough room for the rail to pass
http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj225/disco-nick/200sx%20s13%20july%202010/DSCN0667.jpg
http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj225/disco-nick/200sx%20s13%20july%202010/DSCN0668.jpg
now cut in straight from both of those points as if your cutting a triangle out it should look something like this
http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj225/disco-nick/200sx%20s13%20july%202010/DSCN0669.jpg
i then pulled the rail forward and realised i needed to trim a tiny bit more of. see here
http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj225/disco-nick/200sx%20s13%20july%202010/DSCN0670.jpg
the once it all clears the under fabric should still br sticky so tuck it back under the lip and re attach the spring together and repeat on all the other remaining from corners, if youve got 2 seats to do. once tidy it will look like this.
http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj225/disco-nick/200sx%20s13%20july%202010/DSCN0671.jpg
doing this little modification will help gain loads of rear movement and makes the seat sit lower for us talllllller people. i will get some pictures in the daylight showing just how low my seats sit in the car (s13) i will also take some pictures of how the new brackets and bolts attach for the seat belt buckle, i have also used one of the eyelets through with a bolt on the other side as a mounting point for my harness, but still have use of my original seatbelt.

i hope this little guide can be of help to a few people. also i hope apex dont mind me posting this it might help you answer a few peoples questions a bit easier.

cheers
nick

Hi Bren,

Do you have an ETA for the seats into the UK?

Thanks for reposting the seat modification guide.

this is the only picture i have of mine in an s13. you can see how low the bottom cushion is in relation to the centre console. and the top of the bucket seat is 2" lower than when the standard seat was in there..

just found this one aswell. you can see the harness holes are just inline with the door and how much headroom there is..
