View Full Version : Reading Meet 12th August....
Thought i'd start off a new thread for this one, so....
Reading meet is on the 12th August, most people will be there around 7:00. Its just after the Majeski Stadium in the industrial park out side Mc'Donalds
I'll be there with the old man...
Jus
:D
Sounds like an excellent idea;)
Me and SY MAN are deffo going:)
seen a couple of the people from the last 1 and they sound up for it.
any more modds mate?
I'll be there.
May have a few extra bits under the bonnet by then....
Good boys!
Michael - I have a few things on order from bren, should have boost upgrade, Blitz Dual TT, plugs etc. Not sure if i'll have the induction kit and exhaust by then. We'll have to see matey!
Richy - Hows she running now?
I'm not saying what I'll have on order from Bren but hopefully it will arrive in the post before the 12th.
Ner Ner, like that is it :D
Fair play matey, give me a chance, i've only had it a month.
Are you gonna make us wait for it Chrissy B...
Jolly F she isn't running yet but it should be by then
Would be nice if Richie's is running properly, was great to see her again at the last meet.
I'm not convinced that the bits will turn up early enough for me to fit them all before the 12th though.
May have to do it the weekend after.
I'll ask a few other local peeps if they would like to attend.
Sy mans got some new toys!!
hope this 1 is at least the same size if not bigger.
posted on SCOOBY NET and the GTROC again.
Glad to here you guys are up for another 1:)
Should be able to make that one, unless someone wants to come and see the house :)
Yep, count me in. Should also have a couple of new bits on by then......
What toys, he has enough already, gotta be a FMIC or lowering...
NikB - you fitted your boost gauge yet?
Fitted mine last night - cool....
Not yet - was gonna do it last night but it pissed with rain. I bought an ashtray plate off Bren at JAE which I am gonna use instead of the 3 gauge DIN panel.
If you haven't done it by the 12th, bring it along and we'll fit it...

Thanks mate. :)
Should be a few other jap cars at this 1 scoobys etc:)
Asked Sabrex to come along (from Bracknell).
S13s are not a dying breed Beavertron, there are loads of us,
but none are on the board around my area.
The 180SX was interesting, very different to the UK S13.
It will probably be up again. I'm having trouble plumbing in the Blitz Duall TT. Then i'll put the boost upgrade in. Then it'll be bloody quick, like mine :D
What boost upgrade you doing mate!
bren device or controller?
Bren device, get the Apexi at a later date but want to do other stuff first. Does a good job, and for the price  wicked...
Done it on mine, waiting to do the old mans 180sx...
R you still having probs with the turbo timer as i might have the wiring instructions here:wave:
Wiring was easy on both cars. Cause of the engine on the 180 i'm not sure if i've plumed in the boost line correctly as the boost isn't showing correctly.
I was gonna get some piccys for the BB, otherwise i was hoping Beavertron was going on the 12th, and he could have a look...
i'll be there 7 ish !
c u there
(hey can u fit me ND actuator  )
Don't think it's advisable to fit an actuator while the turbo is still "warm" if you know what I mean....
Any room for an S15?
That is if a silver blue Spec R aero would fit in.....?:)
I think we could fit you in somewhere :D
So 10 200sx posts plus Sy .
lets say 2-3 others turn up(200sxs).
14-15 200s.
prob 4plus scoobys.
6plus others.
24-25 jap cars in all.
Could be a great meet and only 3 days to go
:) :smitten: :smitten:
I will be there from 6.30pm Just incase people are earley:wave:
Its probrably going to rain.
I hope so because this hot weather is not good for TurbO cars!
7-7.30 for me
c u there m8
I'm near there this evening, so might be able to pop by.
Just to see the s15  :D
Can anyone tell me what "A" road it's on, or easiest directions from the M4
Come off at Junction 11 of the M4.
Head into reading.
Stay in middle lane for saftey, and go straight past the traffic lights. Carry on straight, over a roundabout and past the Majeski stadium. Then straight over the next roundabout.
You'll see a indutrial park on you left with Mc'ds etc in it and a load of 200SX with thier bonnets up no doubt. Turn left into the slip road just after the 2nd roundabout to get in the industrail park...
Just incase i missed a roundabout out or something, Just go straight all the way until you see the Maccy Ds on the left...
Even i could find it, and thats saying something
Can anyone clarify my directions.
I'll be their around 7 but i may well bring the Blade tonight if weather is nice
I will be there about 6:30, 7ish. I even managed to wash the motor last night!
I think one of my mates is bringing his *ahem*rover*cough* as well.
Thats why i will be most probably bring the bike, the cars well dirty, been too hot to wash it...
I'm bringing along the pops and his 180sx, scooby WRX, and Supra...
Mind you, i think the blade needs clean and polish......
:(
It's on the A33 dual carriageway on the way into Reading from M4 J11 for anyone who doesn't know.
It's literally less than a minute from the M4.
That part of the A33 is 40mph speed limit but there are no speed cameras on it even though there are the white marker lines on the road
Edit: My mods will not be done for today, I haven't got all the parts yet and I plan to do it all at once.
Doesn't look like the weather is going to let up at all
excellent meet guys sorry i didnt get to do the rounds and say hello to everyone i was with a WRX fanatic.
:whip:
Excellent turn-out, I was very impressed :D
I've put the few piccies I took in a new thread here (http://www.sxoc.com/vbb/showthread.php?s=&postid=480690#post480690)
Nice to see everyone

 to everyone there. Apologies for not speaking to many, I just got so involved in a chat with a couple of top guys about one of their Scooby that I didn't realise how late it was getting, and how hungry I was!
Nice to meet Bigtone and Richie, also Michael and Sy man.
Tac, although I didn't speak to you, thanks for posting those pics, 'cause in one you can actually see my car! The only known picture of it in existance!
Look foward to the next one. Hopefully my clutch won't slip again though  . Suppose it had to happen eventually, 'cause it did get a bit of a pounding!
Another good meeting chaps!
It was interesting to note how the SX owners behaved in comparison to the other cars that were there, who was that scrot that was playing s h it e? Did anyone else notice Kevin and Perry? very funny!
I may be able to pursuade the landlord at my local to have us next time (near Ascot) obviously on the assumption that people behave. Should probably be SX's only I reckon.
Cheers

I went last night with Chrissy B, a good night I thought.
I normally don't attend these kind of meets, as there's usually a wannabe F1 driver tearing about, but it was a very civilised meet, and will try to come to the next one. Just wish I had my camera to take some pics of the S13 with the flip paint.
Rob.
Yes i wanted to take a pic of that flip paint one too and that lovely black 200sx s13 - theres a link to the flip paint one here somewhere.
I need to get in touch with him to ask about the rear lights he had.
:o
Which lovely Black S13 200SX, there was only 1 there and that was my shed ? :(
Ah, there was also a 180SX, interesting bit of kit.
The meet was 4 times as brilliant as last time, pat on the back for everyone that turned up
I like the idea of the Ascot Pub meet and 200SX only NIkB, added bonus would be the lack of Scoobies attracting attention from being driven.
Hopefully the next meet will be even bigger, would probably be good if we could organise a bit better next time, coz if the attending numbers continue to grow so rapidly it will all get rather hectic, we may need to contact the owners of the car park and get permission.
Good to meet some new people again, but we do need more S14 and S13 to turn up, it's mostly S14A that are coming along.
Beavertron get your arse there next time, Black facelifted S13s rule!
Can't wait for the next meet.....
i did mean urs Chris

Had a little blast on the way home with a silver s14 silvia
Total mileage = 230

the best bit was finding £2 in the coin bin on the bridge

Hi Bigtone, Travelling from Cardiff is dedication. I think I should make more effort to go to meets. I know your drive to and from Reading was good fun with those toys under the engine! Very nice car.

What do you all think to 9th September then. If we see how we get on with the location next time...
So basically we're looking at the second tuesday of the month each time to keep it simple....
Does anyone know the details of getting permission for the car park. I'm worried if we ask, they'll say no and we can't carry it on there. Its a good location (easy to find)...
NikB - good to hear its sorted, you'll have to take me out in it next time, sounded nice as you drove off :D
Chrissy B- not beavertron  , cheers for the help with the 180sx, alway good to confirm before cutting boost pipes...
Micheal - good effort i getting others there, i'll defo bring my car next time.
To all - just fitted my induction kit, lovely sound :D :D :D
Looks like i have a new DV so does anyone locally want it before i put it on the For sale BB...
Its a Baily Evo DV with blue S14 fitting kit. Cost me £111.50 4 weeks ago...
Just gauging the interest as i won't defo sell it untill im happy with the Greddy ;)
See you all soon, if anyone fancys a mini meet for drink let me know anytime
I dont think we should ask as they will say no.
As long as we keep noise, burn outs, racing away from our meets.
Jolly im always up for a mini meet so just PM me and i'll bring SY MAN.
9th is good as long as the football isnt on and I will post this on other jap car forums.
Nik B good to here your car is sorted(wish mine was)
TAC nice pictures.
I will soon have my own web site with info and pics of the meets:thumbs:
Mini meet for Reading area folk at the pub on the A33 perhaps, you know the one with the big car park in front of the pub, can't remember the name of the pub.
Old Devil Inn?
The Jeckyll and Hyde?
May be a good idea to not ask permission for using the Comet car-park until they get stroppy or something.
If we don't ask they can't say no ;)
