View Full Version : What turbo...
...does a PC use? My [prehistoric] keyboard at work has a 'Turbo' button.
386's early 486's Basically it upped the bus speed to what the processor was capable in its spec, if you ran it non-turbo, you effectively underclocked it!

Ah back in the era when pcs also had those naff keyboard locks too! What fun it was to get one of those keys and lock them when I was at school (strange how one key would work in many different locks and makes). ;)
My mate got an official college warning once because he was too pissed to remember his network password :D :D :D :D :D :D

We got a warning since my friend decided to send the message 'DUFF!' using the netsend command. Would have been alright if he had specified my machine address and not left it blank thus sending it to the whole bleedin network (~400 machines).
Cue the loudest BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP i have ever heard as every pc in the comp labs and around the college displayed it on the screen.
I was not too happy about that at the time, but thinking back it was 'kin funny :D
