I punted 16 quid on this as it never got much airplay in the cinemas a few months ago.

top marks

Moore is excellent and some of the class moments include.

The NRA is the Klu Klux Klan !

Returning the bullets to K-mart (that are still embedded in the young boys spine).

Showing the NRA and Charlton Heston to be complete twots.

Best 16 quid I ever spent on a DVD.

I'll be surprised if any of you buggers even know what I'm talking about lol -:wack:

Michael Moore, right? :)

I really wanted to see that film too, but there's a lot of evidence to suggest that much of the stuff in the film was falsified, or cleverly edited to distort reality, and make the NRA look much worse than they are. Valid points are still raised, of course, but it's a little sad Mr. Moore had to make stuff up to prove his point, untill then I was a big fan. As it is, still a worthwile film to see, but don't fall into thinking it's actually a documetary...

I'd like to know what he made up. He is being hit heavily at the moment in the states as he is seen as anit-american over the war etc.

Ive seen it, was amazed. I figured a lot of it had been cleverly edited but all the same a lot was very factual. deffinately worth a look!

A free gun when you open a bank account! :wack:

Feel free to take some of that with a pinch of salt as well though, since that site seems to have just as much of an agenda as Mr. Moore does, but you get the idea... :)

Yeah all parties have an agenda in that film but what I thought was most interesting was simply the exploration of America's gun culture and their peoples attitudes.

I mean regardless of reasons Moore states for the problems (Culture of fear, corporates etc). When you hear people saying.

I keep a loaded .44 under my pillow and talking like loonies it makes you sit up and take note !

If you liked the movie have a read of the book "stupid white men" if it wasn't so serious it would be hilarious!

The start does it for me, when he's just going around his normal business and the rally car is holding him up. The first one is ace IMO as well.
