I've got my gran here at the moment...
and its fine, we get on well.. but she's slowed up so much...
I can take that, its OK.

What is really tiring is I get up in the morning and we're just sitting there and she comes out with things like
"What do you want to eat tonight?"
"I'll just go and cook the veg for tonight"...

this is pre-1030am.....
I can't take this level of forward planning. When i'm hungry I eat.. simple as. No forethought, no planned times....

its really tiring me out now...

Indulge the elderly because we all end up that way in the end.

I've often noticed that old/retired people seem to make a big deal of things which the rest of us barely think about. Spose it comes from having next to nothing else to do with your time/brain?

I do, and quite enjoy it... but can't take this planning thing... I just say "I don't know" and that isn't right. Grr

Oh, I'll never be old.

heh, i can't keep up with my Gran, she's proberbly the worst animal in the family and she's 87 ffs, she does keep fit 3 times a week and is out with her mates every night, every now and again her and some cronies hire out a mini bus and invade some country pub somewhere, I feel really sorry for the bar staff. She's also the only person I know who's managed to get my Mum plastered.

what confuses me is that Bupa ad which goes on about the fact that 80year old have 97% of the brain cells that they had at 20 or something on those lines.

Now I'm sorry, but I have NEVER seen an old person as mentally agile as they would have been at 20 (think retired engineers etc so not dummies by any stretch).

Perhaps it is all to do with the conservativeness that creeps in as people get older? Scared of new things?

It's a manipulated image.
The rear wing is my Starion and the pic is a graffetti image in Brighton, all heavily manipulated of course.

And Dannielle, I'm not complaining as such, just observing.
One grandfather died before I was born, my grandma when I was 6 (on mother's side) and I don't talk to my bio-father's side of the family anymore. So I know what you mean, sort of.
I'm not complaining about it, jsut observing...
