Yeah anywhere near London is a rip off. But dont worry, house prices will go down a lot next year. I'm just gonna wait until they hit rock bottom, and then buy. Whats the point in buying when they are overpriced?

Something's got to give on the housing front and I have much sympathy with anyone looking for 1st time buys. Our Victorian 3 bed terrace has more than tripled in value since we bought it in 95 and we can't afford the bigger place that we desperately need without moving too far away from friends, schools, etc.

Starionman it probably has something to do with the secondary school I when went 2, someone told me that at the time was rate 5 worst school in the country :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: Then finished and it all went a bit crazy for a while ;) I just made the right decision to make a big side step at the wright time and leave my school mates. At last count everyone had done at least 2 years away at hoilday camp! God I feel good now! :)

My sister got her first flat last November, think it was £120k. Two years ago we sold our 4 bedroom house with 1/2 acre for £400k. Although they are both in good areas, low crime etc.
