Why is poo always brown??

Eat a load of tomatoes, peppers etc & hey presto - it turns red ( ok, so it's kinda reddy-brown )

Mix em all together and what do you get ... BROWN!

Theres stuff in your red blood cells that is called bilirubin, it is part of the pigment. when your red blood cells are broken down, the bilirubin is passed in the poo giving the characteristic brown colour.

try eating different food colourings, blue is good:thumbs:

And guiness does make it black.

I'd wondered on the paint theory too.

Blood cells????? Really? eeeww! It's like a big lump of black pudding...mmmmmmm, black pudding!
