An 86-year-old man, who police said mistook the gas pedal in his car for the brake, plowed through a crowded farmers market Wednesday in Santa Monica, California, killing nine people and injuring at least 54. The dead included a 3-year-old girl. Fourteen of the injured were in critical condition.

Christ, he must have driven through them for bloody miles! I don't understand why old people aren't retested. In my opinion it's negligent of the Government to do otherwise.
