right lads

werid one this have no idea whats going on

my upstairs pc and 2nd pc is working just fine on the internet my pc downstairs is being a pig.....

i have been downloading vice city off of edonkey and the internet has been working fine (able to download and read web pages ect) even worked this morning.

i went to work all day leaving my pc on... when i got back the pc had rebooted :confused: i asked dad if the electric had been off at all and he said no....

so i load into windows and i get dns errors when i try to open websites i cant connect to msn and norton antivirus live update

but i can download on edonkey and play lfs

i have renewed my lease on the cable modem (telewest) and the router i have reset.... i have run ipconfig on the pc downstairs and i belive its something to do with the Dns settings or something :|

what pussles me is the pc upstairs is working fine and what could have happened today to make this happen

tryed everything in my power now guys and any suggestions would be very helpfull :)

i have some screen shots of the dns settings in control panel ect so if you wanna see them please add me to your msn @ James_deacon6@hotmail.com and i will send them to you seeing as i have no place to host them on the internet :(

A lot of viruses attempt to disable live update of popular anti-viruses, also if your getting dns errors have you tried accessing websites with ip address
