I have ~£100 worth, never won a sausage.

My grandad has won quite a few times though, he tends to reinvest any winnings as additional bonds so maybe ernie likes that ;)

Yeah, my dad has £25k's worth, but hes only won a few... the million pound win is 19billion to one, whereas the national lottery is 12 million to one...

difference is you dont lose your stake

Had mine (admittedly not many) for 33 years and not won a thing :(

Mind you, I am the man who on a night at the races loses on every single race until the last one when I pick a horse but don't bet, and the horse promptly romps it. My mate won £70 on that horse

If you have 5K or more hanging around it may be a reasonable investment. As already said above, you never loose your stake, plus it is a good way to stop the tax man from taking any of the returns from you... Safe as houses well sort of...

One of my relations has the maximum number you can get. They generally win about £50 every month. Last year there was a nice cheque for £1000 that came through.

I cashed mine in to pay Norris though.

Temped at the workplace for them. Was amusing to hear the location and number of the million pound winner every month.
