View Full Version : Why bother?

So we all have nice, fast and mint cars. We park them in car parks and wonder the whole time if some careless tw*t is going to damage them while we're away, either accidently or as is often the case, deliberately.

When we're on the road, most of the time we are stuck in traffic, moving slower than the average terrapin. 250bhp really comes into its own then!

After some moron dented my front wing on Sunday in a car park, I'm really wondering what the point in bothering is? I'm always ultra careful where I park (which in itself is a pain) and park by new cars wherever possible. Parking in most towns is almost non existant so you have to grab a space wherever you can.

As with all low cars, I have to be careful where I can and can't drive. Although to be fair, after a few front skirt rebuilds I'm getting the hang of that now!

The car's booked into the body shop to have the wing sorted and the front skirt put back to brand new condition again. Once it comes back it'll be like a brand new car again. Then what? Someone else will damage it for me?

I may as well go and buy a Mondeo!!!

You bother because you love it.
Every time you plonk your a$$ into the seat and twist the key you get a "Oh Yeah" feeling.
if you didn't you would be driving something else.

Am I right?

You sit in the seat and you turn the key. The noise of the pump priming then the engine firing (even better if you have a dif exhaust) is enough to remind you. As Starionman says you do it because you love it :D
