Not to worry its only a 924 S !!!

Not a 928 in sight on this occasion.

A good mix of other marques too.

Great conditions for Spirit to get to grips with her 1st outing on track at Combe in the proven Bristol Blue S14a, although a misplaced locking wheel nut adapter denied it from wearing its usual Toyo R888 semi slick rubber.

Not a bad day up there.

Hats off to the Porsche owners club. They are a really good bunch and respect to their track day organization.

Rules were tighter than the regular Action days but it meant for really safe surroundings out on track.

I've got some pics too.

Gaz, did you manage to get any track pics of Amy going round?

Amy (pictured above) was somewhat easier to photograph going round compared to Steve because of the speed difference !!! :D:wack::wack::wack:

I missed a late turn up by Conrad who was late as usual as he was busy doing his hair ! :D:wack:

Yeah, damn-it. Gotta get that sorted asap. I just hope I left it and DBPower, otherwise it's grind time.

Yep, got the onboard footage too. Great fun sat in the passenger seat too, and a bit of back end action coming out of Bobbies!:thumbs:

yeah it was good and I really enjoyed it  - I can see myself becoming entirely engrossed in track days from that experience :D

Yeah, course I was slower than the Coombemeister, but i think I did alright all told AND I felt perfectly within my comfort zone that I wouldn't have said it was hard work - I knew there was plenty more left, but would prefer to really get used to fast-track stuff first (espec in someone else's car!  )

I popped along to this as well (mine's the white 14a) was quite a nice day, would of been a bit better with a few more cars on track but was good weather and been able to walk round the circuit without any crowd was very nice

I was hoping to do some track time but I thought it was an open pit day so didn't think I'd be able to get a short track slot, what was the deal with it in the end?

Some nice driving Amy, if that's your first time out then well done, I drove like a proper pansey when I first went out last year :ghey:

This weird mutant kit car had a mid mounted larger turbo Audi 1.8 20v engine from a TT.

The rear wings had ducts both sides, an intercooler one side an oil cooler the other.

It went like stink and the back end squat down when the boost came in.

Huge fun.

Hello Sir!

It was an open pit-day, but we asked one of the organisers and said that we only wanted 15 minutes each, one as a driver with the other as a passenger and he just plucked a figure out of thin air (don't wanna mention it publicy, as it's not a det in stone amount, just one the dude made up, incase anyone else goes and expects to pay what we did). But PM me for more info's if you like
What I will say is that it was very, very reasonable

Well possible thank you :) I say that, as it depends on whether you saw me or Steve driving (he did 15 minutes first, just to gauge the track out, seeing as we hadn't changed his tyres over to the slicks and thus, weren't sure on the handling).
i went out possibly about 15:15pm (about 20 minutes later than Steve did, just to give the motor time to cool a little).

Also, I know your car! You have a Unit up where I work and i saw you on Friday. I then saw, what I thought was the same car @ Coombe on Sat (& it was! lol).

No, I don't want to know the price, will just make it painful that I missed :annoyed:

Think I left just before 3 so it might actually of been steve driving around but if any one asks I'll say it was you if you want :D

Are you part of the ep1centre clan now? oop at the farm. He's gone and got one of those units next to ours, proper mad about that because we wanted it :smash: need to see if he's got some space to store some of our bits for us :p

I only got the car on the road on thursday, had it up there on friday getting the short shifter fitted and the front window tints off, next it's cutting the CF bonnet to fit the aero catches :(

that kit car was a little beauty, such a small mid engined car can't be anything but fun :wack:
