it doesnt appear to be though, if you look at the guy on the phone in the white shirt below the stand, seems to be moving at normal pace!

Bear in mind an F1 car will probably take those corners flat out due to the downforce... you won't get round there flat in a road car  And that's just after a hairpin, the road cars will only be doing 60odd by the time the pass the camera, I expect the F1s would be doing double that at least.
This video gives a good demonstration of the performance difference between a crap car, fast car and F1

:wack: errr .ok .... I think an 800bhp 640kg race car with a several million pound aero and suspension package running race fuel and sticky rubber being driven by the worlds finest professionals ......is quicker than a 300bhp 1400kg road car being driven by someones mate
or at least that what it looks like

I love F1. They've been doing that corner completely flat since the early 90s :wack:

You say that, but a stage 1 would have the F1 car every time

Don't forget Canoe Reeves
Anyway. Go to Le Mans and watch the GT cars vs the LM cars, you'll see that difference in speed real world
I like this one

I think the F1 boys enter Eau Rouge around 190mph. Not sure how much the regulation changes have affected this recently.
In the S14a on road tyres, without too much appetite for the kerbs, it was slightly scary at 115mph.
In a 600bhp fully prepared Subaru, it was deeply scary at 135mph!
Scarier still, the race cars we were watching that weekend (ferraris, porsches etc) were apparently entering the corner at nearly 160!
