Ladies Only Santa Pod Practice Day Part 2!!!

Well after the sucess of the last all female drift practice, i've decided to organise another!!

At the moment the date is unconfirmed but it should go ahead on this date and i will probably have confirmation by next week :)

Date: Saturday 5th March

Where: Santa Pod Raceway, Northamptonshire.

Cost: £60 per driver - paid in advance
£10 for spectators - paid on the gate

Tutoring: Due to a lack of female drifters, female tutoring will be limited but there will be lots of help around on the day, so you wont be on your own. I will post more details on this when i have arranged tutors.
If boyfriends/friends want to teach then that is fine, however they will only be doing so from the passenger seat, ONLY signed on drivers will be driving!

Exact track layout is to be confirmed however there is likely to be:
2-3 play pens for donuts and figure of 8's
1 Kidney track
The Large track usually laid out for DWYB

The gates will be open from 8.30am to 5pm, drifting will be from 9.30am to 4.30pm.

MINT tyres will be on site to provide tyre changing.
Prices are £5 per rim + £2 disposal if needed

Driving licenses are required!

Rental drift cars will be available upon request.

Payment:
I am not taking payment for this day yet but please feel free to add your name to the list so i can gauge interest. I will announce on this thread when payment is being taken.

The aim of the day is obviously to get you comfortable with the basics of drifting or develop your skills further but mostly to have fun!! So don't worry about anything, if you have any questions about preperation for the day or about the day itself feel free to give me a shout either via PM or e-mail ( laura_ty80@hotmail.com (laura_ty80@hotmail.com) ) if you send an e-mail please put something in the subject title so i know it's not spam :)

There's too many men only days due to the numbers compared to women, hence the "ladies only" day to encourage some
more to join the fun :)

Yes but i am sure they are not classed as men only days and women are more than welcome to come along :)

You should probably think about having a noob only day to encourage more people to get into drifting as i am sure there are people out there both male and female who would love to have a go but feel a bit intimidated by all the whole scene and wouldnt want to look an idiot in front of all the experts :):thumbs:

Santa Pod do 2/3 days a month where you can go in your own car and mess about in enclosed areas, there's usually 3/4 areas where you can do some donuts, then step up to doing a figure of 8.
There's a small kidney track then which leads on achieving you can then try the main bigger laid out track.

Each day has various people there who are only happy to help and offer advice, along with the drift school where you pay a price and get thought in a school car, this caters for people only learning to drive legally so the experience band is a pretty beginners level all round where everyone starts off and builds there way up without feeling intimidated etc ;)

It's defo worth a visit up there for amy skill level driver :)

I was under the impression these days where a bit of a free for all and I can imagine its a bit unnerving to be trying to get to grips with it whilst more talented folk are drifting all around you :wack::D

Need to come up and have a look sometime, no fooking way I am using my car though :wack:

DWYB used to be all about the beginners but there does seem to be alot of more experienced(/people who think they're experienced) drivers there nowdays. It's still ok for beginners though, there are seperate areas, just dont get intimidated :)

Drifting isn't as harsh on the car as you might think :) it depends on the driver :thumbs: i've never broken anything on my car whilst drifting and ive been skidding the s14 for a year and a half :)

GAH .... I hate to pictures of cars being abused .....the drifting I can cope with, but sitting on the bonnet and putting your feet on the car .. nooooooo
