Hello peeps
I been noticing a couple of pops and bangs recently and I swear its using more fuel, I've moved some pipes about a bit too tidying my intake with a solid pipe. does anyone have a home made boost leak checker I could borrow?. Its for an sr20. If not maybe would be something very useful to have in our section for people to use. Maybe I will make one (probably won't work if I do it Tho:wack::wack:)

Hi mate,
I don't have a test kit, just bodged up with crap from the garage.
My method was to use a bung for the air filter and the plenum (and any other take off, actuator, dv, gauges etc), then pumP up with a foot pump and see if it hold pressure?
I used an old bike inner tube and cut out the valve then used a bit of old silicone vac hose and pushed it inside and jubilied it on, then clip the other end on to the boost nipple on the fmic pipework.
cheers, rich

do as Rich M suggests, i used a baked bean can on the plenum end and a wd40 can at the turbo end then bodged a tyre valve into the actuator pipe
