View Full Version : what's wrong with my car?
There's a noise coming from the turbo like the sound of wind going under my bedroom door on a windy night in addition to the normal high pitch whine. You know, a bit like a ghst on Scooby Doo. Also, I've lost a few psi boost and it peaks at 15/16psi insead of the normal 18psi. Also, the car smokes badly on occasion....
What's wrong? Any ideas?
Its a very small amount of boost to loose for the usuual boost leak in turbo pipes, how are you controlling you're boost mike, Bren Device, bleed valve, etc? I assume you've had a good look around the turbo pipes for air leaks.
I don't like the sound of the smoke though, if it didn't smoke before but does now then surely the T25H is on its way out

manifold to turbo leak, thouigh it usually gives a scrapeing/farty noise.
Gotta agree with dunc on the smoke, 18psi just too much for a t25h maybe

I reckon for the money some folk want for a hybrid T28, a ball bearing T28's the way to go.
My T28hybrid lasted less than 8000 miles at 15psi

thanks Dunc..
Now, back to "my" problem...
I'm 99% sure tubby has gone, probably due to my garage NOT fitting a braided oil feed hose like I asked them 18 months ago! Std T28 on order and I feel the need for a "T28 fitting party" :p
