i have a piccy that i wanna use as my avatar, but every time i try to use it it says its too big. RUDE!!!!!!!

how come you fancy lot keep changing and updating your avatars with fancy pants pictures and pictures that move, while i have to go round looking on other forums and pinching theirs!! but even then they sometimes are too big!!!!

go on, give us a clue!!:thumbs:

I have got loads to use, but they are all too big, there must be some software to shrink gifs successfully, but I am too lazy to look...

So my taillights it is for now.... :rolleyes:

As far as I know, they have to smaller than 20Kb and max 80x80pixels.

Just use a graphics application...

Convert to a GIF file and reduce its size.

just use the crappy microsoft paint that you get with windows
open the image you want to use
then just go to 'image' and select attributes from the drop down menu
then just type in 80x80 for your size, and it will resize the image for ya!! sorted!

i'm not fully paid up, was gonna, but then i sold my 200 and got me 3000 gt vr4 (gto but uk one)
but if i can have one then yes pls, a nice big juicy red gto, smashing!!!!

you need to upload it to some webspace, like imagestation, then copy a link to it in the user CP section of the board :)
if you do a search on here there's loadsa threads that go into more detail too ;) :D
