Joy - and I thought they were off the radar as far as theiving scumbags were concerned nowadays :(

Will have to make sure the wheel comes with me whenever it's parked up for the next few months when in town

I doubt it, someone with a bit of theiving talent probably found that one was easy to nick and had a go at another. Good imob should stop them

Always gets a bad rep st pauls, somtimes i feel its unjustified, its not that bad, had some good nights out round that way

Having worked as a courier in and around Bristol in the past I'd agree St. Pauls isn't as bad as it's made out to be - that said it is pretty damn dodgy in certain areas :wack:
Nicer than Hartcliff though :D

well ive put mine away at work for a while (plus ive got no money for fuel at the mo) hopefully they will leave our cars alone soon and go back to nicking vauxhalls or something (preferably nothing obviously)

That's such a dumb unfounded comment mate. :indiff: Did make me chuckle though.

Not good though, Bristol use to have one of the highest vehicle crime rates, but that was when I was a kid. Thought things had got better :(

Vehicle crime rates don't translate to much though - a keyed car is a car crime statistic. I wouldn't worry about having your sx go wondering, sure all of us have proper immobilisers and alarms now, so just as hard to steal as the new cars. Don't know about you, but if I had to break into someones house for car keys, I would much rather go for the fella down the road with the new m3, that waste time going for a 3k car.

There's a older fella on my road with a spotless, totally standard low milage s14a - I'd got for that before a old s13. :-D

Well either way this isnt good news, as bristol isnt far from where i live, so il keeping keeping an eye out, NO F@@KER IS TAKING MY CAR:mad:

SXRORY
17-12-2010, 16:04
no one has ever nicked a 14a i dont think, not without the keys nats is very good.

People have forgot where they parked and thought they had been nicked  but never stolen

Makes me glad I park right outside my shop at work and in the garage at home. Some say I'm paranoid about it. And that I'll put a 30" arrow through anyone trying to break into it/nick it. All I know is I really really like my car.

(not into mechaphilia though!)

this is why having a fuel pump on switch is ace!
Hidden in a normal dash button.

Spawn_CA18
17-12-2010, 16:47
by the way , about fuel pump , if you don't want to add some switch , you can just uninstall you fuel pump fuse from fuse box.

Its just as bad up here in Gloucestershire/Cheltenham - my mate went into his flat for a shower the other week, came back out and his Starlet Turbo was gone, got recovered the next day - new locks all round - £70, impound/recovery fee's - £150, plus his engine suffered two cracked rings and took their pistons with it.

Good job the police are doing stuff about it - just not enough, the only way to stop it for certain is to find the theiving bastards yourself and remove some of their fingers IMO!
