<a href=http://www.crucial.com/uk>Here</a>. Accept no substitute. You only pay at most a couple of quid more for top notch memory so imho there's absolutely no point buying cheapo generic ram. Crucial have a memory selector where you just pick your manufacturer and motherboard and it tells you what memory is compatible with your board. It's free delivery too.

But they don't do RAM for my system. Kingston want nearly £300 for 512MB. :(

Crucial sell both generic and system specific ram (a nice little earner I might add for those who dont realise that its just the same stuff).

I always used crucial it and its been good to me :) However i'd probably buy something ludicrusly expensive like corsair if i was heavily into overclocking (I only have a small oc' ~10 % cpu, vid ti4200 -> ~ ti 4400 spec runs very sweet 24/7 like this).

Seeing as you have an ECS K7S5A motherboard listed there. Go to <ahref=http://www.crucial.com/uk/>Crucial's</a> website and choose Elite Group (ECS) in the memory selector (the drop down list box on the page under Find Your System Here) and choose Motherboards, then K7S5A Rev 1.x (or you could click http://www.crucial.com/uk/store/listparts.asp?Mfr%2BProductline=Elite+Group+%28ECS %29%2B+Motherboards&mfr=Elite+Group+%28ECS%29&cat=RAM&model=K7S5A+%28Rev+1.X%29&submit=Go seeing as I've just done it :D ) and it will show you compatible memory. Be aware though, that the K7S5A supports both DDR and PC133 SDRAM. You can't mix both types, so if you have PC133 at the moment you will either have to ditch it and get the DDR to the capacity you want or add more PC133.

EDIT: Just noticed from your post that it says 2 slots are filled. The board only has 2 slots of each type, so you're going to lose the 128MB module if you add more to what you've got.

Can you find any for mine at a good price? Looking for 256MB (ie 2x128MB as they come in pairs) of PC800 RDRAM (RIMMS) for a P4.

Try <a href=http://www.scan.co.uk/products/>Scan</a>. They're always pretty good for rambus memory. I'm using 2 RIMMs from there in a Linux server in work and it's been on 24/7 for over a year and never crashed, so I'd say the memory was reliable :thumbs: :D
