My abs light stays on, any body got any ideas?
could be a number of things:
dodgy sensor
knackered ABS ECU
broken actuator
If you look in the service manual it gives a full method to diagnose the problem. You can download the manual from a number of places - see thread on the subject.

Had the same problem on collecting my car from the garage. Expected the worst and gave back to garage. They said the ABS fuse (20A job, front right of engine bay fuse box) had blown (why ???). I was sceptical but they hadn't been playing with the brakes and didn't charge me for anything extra. Anyway, light now off and no further problems (3 months on); and yes, the ABS works (a rabbit can vouch for that). http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/smile.gif
Worth a look ?

This happened to my dad's cavalier. Owing to the car's weird circuitry the cause turned out to be a blown brake light bulb.
Strange but true!

Usually a disconnected or malfunctioning wheel sensor is to blame but check the fluid level as well 'cause a leak in the system will also cause it to stay on and do check the fuse first, 5 minute job could save a load of hassle !!!
My mate's S13's had a knobby ABS light for about 18 months!
Works ok, though.
Talking of saving a rabbit, which is quite irrelevant really, I ha some f*ckwit walk right across the road in front of me yesterday and, lucky for him, does a 200 stop quickly or what!
Long story short, he then ran round the car (after I informed him he was a 'Dopey C***')and took a swing!
No ****!
How would I have got the blood off the bonnet if I'd nailed him, eh?

Its not the fuse, Its Not the front sensors, Its not the ECU, Its not the wiring. I think its the rear sensor, The front 2 read 1K the rear 1 reads 12M
