Its the Beeb that are gullible - they are the ones concentrating on it while the government tries to fvck up our country under the radar.

Who do you believe. Theiving, lying manipulative politicians or theiveing, lying, manipulative journalists. Throw them all on the same bonfire I say.

Meanwhile, whilst all this utter toss is going on what's happening about Education, the NHS etc.etc.etc. It's all designed to make us lose site of the real issues

same as always...
Education: every new education minister tries to 'make their mark' and cant leave the system alone, even what is blatantly working fine. hence education is always in a state of change and is never going to be allowed to settle down and let teachers concentrate on teaching. meanwhile there are more people getting highest scores year on year, but guess what? the grade percentiles are not static, they are decided by the government. the score for an A one year is not the same as a score for an A the following year.... so sure, more people get A's year on year, but then the government can decide that.

NHS... underfunded, same as ever. you have to wonder where everyones NI contribution goes, especially as this tax was raised recently.

oh and the beeb are right. whether blair did it intentionally or not doesnt matter, he still misled the country.

I reckon the BBC are telling the truth about this one but I also think it's a distraction as others have commented, it's not like anyone believed these dossiers in the first place did they? I mean you'd have to be a seriously credulous imbecile to have bought that pile of dross, it was clear that the US wanted régime change and were happy to say it cos they don't give a flying f*ck about international law but that Blair and co. had to be considerably more ciscumspect cos they want to be seen to be playing the game at the UN and ICC.

I think the BBC have been somewhat hypocritical in that they were the most "on message" when reporting the war, but at least they seem to be redressing that imbalance now.

Put it this way, the BBC chairman (I think that's what he was) turned around and said that

The BBC did not have any agenda in their coverage of the war in Iraq

Pah! Agenda - of course they had a bloody agenda. And it was glaringly obvious.

That's why I love Channel 4. At least they are open about their agendae
