The car is in Merthyr at the moment at Evans Halshaw's. Had the call this morning to say it was uneconomical to repair, not sure what to do now.:cry::cry:

Youch! What happened? There was someone selling doors in the parts section couple of days ago dude
Wife was getting my son out the back of the car outside the house, when a woman who says she was in a hurry but wasn't speeding drove into my drivers door. Covered both the missus and son in glass and destroyed my pride and joy.

Think the A pillar needs jigging.

Sorry to see this:( is it just the door or is it the sill etc also? If it's just the door I think ghazoobe was selling some
Edit: Hope your wife and kiddy are ok
Buy it back off the insurance company, buy a door the right colour, get a slide hammer on the hinges and get it back on the road!!
Door, Pillar, Sill and minor damage to wing. Could do with someone experienced to have a look at it and give me their opinion. The garage priced up the job at over £4000 .
I explained how I could provide parts a lot cheaper but they will only use genuine new Nissan parts. Do I take the money and run or go through all the aggro again of being without a car for weeks/months whilst the car is repaired.

Both fine thank you although a little shaken up!
I've got a pair of doors mate. In Damson though. Let me know if you're repairing and we can sort something out.

Shit man glad the Mrs and lad are ok,it could have been much worse and the car is fixable or replaceable
Get a bigger picture up mate, cant really see past the mangled door in the one you have posted.
Gutted for you though :(
Car has gone to the garage in Merthyr to be assessed, that was the only picture I had taken off my phone. I need to get up there soon to see the damage properly so will take more pictures then. I've got a feeling the A post will need jigging, anyone know for a good place?
Thanks for the offer Jim, will defo keep it mind.

Door was only open a few inches, wife parked up waiting to get out, a car was coming down the residential street when this woman thought she could squeeze through the gap:down: Would of been better if the door was open cos she probably would of just ripped it off not ram it into the pillar and wing!
Two good things though:
1. Whole thing covered by the pub next doors cctv
2. Insurance company dropped off a brand new (17 miles on the clock) BMW 520:D

Well sounds like it's not going to be an issue getting things sorted :)
Ask Phil about Jigging costs etc as he has had a few done over the years and knows a garage around our way that does it for the insurers.
Shit luck dude :( Was a close one that, could have been a whole lot worse.
I hope you get it all sorted.
I'm glad your Mrs and son are ok mate, just a shame about your SX. I hope you get it fixed without too much expense! :)
Where are you based mate? I don't mind coming for a look if your not too far away.
The car is in Merthyr Tydfil at Evans Halshaw, where are you?

Phil is up in Pontardawe mate
I'll get some pics tomorrow as I work next door to Halshaws :thumbs:
Personally i would have a chat with the insurance company about getting expensive parts off and getting a re-shell.
Ah thats bad news mate:( Glad the wife and lil un escaped un injured though:thumbs:
Just what you need after the last time:(
Yes glad the wife and kids ok! thats the main thing! shame though, yoiu aint had much luck with that car! :(
The things been a jinx, but I did love it:smitten: Chris if you get a look at it I would appreciate your advice. Thanks to everyone wishing the missus and boy well, they are both fine and as mentioned before it is only a car at the end of the day.
I had a look today and it's far better than I thought it was going to be  The door has had it but I should have a spare you can have , The wing needs some minor repairs and the side skirt is cracked but that's no big issue
Structurally it looks like only the pillar is bent but not even bad enough to crack the windscreen and even the sill looks straight enough so the pillar should be an easy pull (or sledge job :wack:)
I do have some pics but photobucket is being an arse at the mo so you'll have to bare with me :annoyed:

So based on that buy it back from the insurance
Have a chat with Richy as he has recently done this with his 15 and it's now looking PIMP as a result of the outcome
Phew, looks like my run of crap luck might be over:) Thanks for taking the time to look at at it Chris much appreciated. When it comes to repairs I haven't got a clue, I can cut a car up in minutes but putting one back together is another story.
