do you know this song?

Hi!

I'm actually searching for this song since many years. I've discovered it once on an old tape of my dad and neither he, nor local radio stations, DJs, music stores or online search engines could help me find it.
The singer sounds a lot like Ronnie James Dio in his song 'All the fools sailed away', but I've been told it could be from a local (Austrian) group called Pegasus, so???
I can't quite believe the Pegasus theory as the singer sounds a lot like he was from Great Britain.
I think it has come out in the late 70s, early 80s

The song starts quite depressive with acoustic gitar and low voice and from the first chorus continues with screaming voice/ hard e-guitar riffs.

The lyrics are:

Sorry if some of the text is wrong, but the tape is rather bad quality and my native tongue is german

I just tried Shazam (http://www.shazam.com/uk/do/home) for you matey from my mobile.
I'd heard very good things about it and wanted an excuse to give it a go. They have a massive database of pretty much every song and couldn't come up with a match :(
Like you say, it could well be a local unsigned band in which case you could be looking for a while yet......

Definitely not Accept or the Scorpions... It sounds a bit like Man-o-War but the guitar sound isn't quite right. I'll have another browse through my dodgy 80s metal collection and see if i can think of anyone else. :D

As I said in the singer sounds (to me) like Ronnie James Dio.

Browsed through the Manowar page - they even have the lyrics of most songs online.
Tried to search for phrases of the lyrics and found nothing. If it was Manowar the search engine should have brought manowar.com...
But I'll download some songs of them and have a listen
