View Full Version : Oh dear - NIP 101 in a 60
OK I know what a dickhead - must have been a speed trap and not a fixed camera because I've got a Geodesy sat nav detector.
On the nice big open A5 in Wales. And I live in Cambridge - Great.
1. Any ideas on the length of the ban? 1 month or 3 or more.
2. Can I have my car on the drive at home uninsured?
And I've heard abouth the not signing the NIP thing - really doubt thats going to work and will just piss the magistrate off. So I'm just going to take it.
Cheers
P.S I've already got six points.......I know I know.....
40mph in a 30 back in 99 and 58mph in a 50 this year.

The offence from 99 won't count towards the "12 and you're banned" as it's more than 3 years old.
Sensible thing to do would be to accept the charge and be a very very good boy in court. Also, saying that driving is vital to your livelyhood goes a long long way.
Might I suggest you get rid of that useless Geodycrap and get yourself a decent detector & diffuser. You could also be really naughty and get a jammer!!

What is quite scary - hope they didn't catch me more than once.
I.e on the way home as well!
And to top it off I've got a big fat lip from a bunch of pickeys last night - ****ers! Was only eating my chips!
And now I've got the work summer BBQ this afternoon.
Nice
For the fitness freaks of us - how long does it take to cycle 12 miles when relaively fit.
depends on the terrain. (hills etc) on the flat I recokon you'd be looking at about 45 minutes - 1 hour.

What the Fvck is that? They did you for that. Thats just not on.
As fot the police helicopter, a stinger missile usually helps.

58 in a 50?
You should have seen the road.
Wide, open dual carriageway, no junctions in the vacinity.

A continuous 24mph
Unlucky mate,
It may be worth getting some sort of legal representation. You're probably looking at a short ban and a fine, so for the sake of a few extra £££'s it might lessen the blow with a switched-on solicitor on the case.
best of luck,
Alg;)

Wella continuous 18mph on an MTB on the flat is easy enough. I've never had a road bike (often meant to) but I'm sure they cruise at 24 easily?
Try PM'ing Turbo Pete.
I found him to be a great help :)
Reckon they will throw the book at you though.

If your fit I reckon 30 mins at most.
Used to cycle 10 miles across Glasgow to my girlfriends best time was just under 20 mins though I was a skinny fit freak then, now I'm not skinny or fit:D
