accidentally logged in then looked at something else.
Now the "view new posts" button only shows the last ten minutes.
The page it find is http://www.sxoc.com/vbb/search.php?s=&action=showresults&getnew=true&searchid=196530
Changing the 196530 to a random lower number gets an invalid search message.
How can I adjust this to get all posts since yesterday ?
I've done that before :D
I just started reading through the individual forums:)
but which forum has the best threads NOW?
I'm lost, dazed and confused.
Cool film that ;)
next best thing is probably "Who's Online" then :)
Done S14 technical back to yesterday. God, nothing goes wrong with these things but gaskets ! :D
Who's Online is a fine, wise and excellent suggestion. Cheers.
However, there must be a way of bodging the "New posts" search without a mod noticing.
I'm afraid I don't know enough about how t'internet works to try anything like that.:wack:
dragging up old but nevertheless crucial thread.
Got into the habit of saving each "Get new posts" as a favoutite but not noticed a pattern until now.
The 'Get new posts' stays valid for 6 days.
Today, my Dec27 search still works but Dec26 comes back with 'contact the webmaster'.
Very useful to know if you have dyslexic fingers or goddamn cordless keyboard you got for Christmas which allows you to lie on the sofa and surf but types random stuff. I still lovecordless keyboard though :smitten:
Apologies to all for my spelling over the next few months.
Try doing a search and enter a word that every post will have in it, like "the" or something. You can then select 'since yesterday'
Dunc.
Ooh, very clever.
Having said that, your post didn't contain 'the' except for a deliberate "the".
Imagine posts from Starion, JB or Midgers. I'd end up missing all sorts !
(Midgers uses the correct t' form of the word)
Yeah, you could miss some stuff - you'd never miss a large thread tho! You could put a single letter (a for example) but I don't think it lets you?
Dunc.
