View Full Version : Making the standard seat fit better?
There was a post on the board earlier about a US site that had a load of D-I-Y tips for the 240sx and one of them was fiddling with the seats to make them more snug and grippy when driving the car. Does anyone remember this? I'm wondering if anyone has done something like this with their seats as I'm definitely considering doing it (It looked like all that was needed was to remove a spring and push a bar around a bit).

Alright, Andy. I did the seat mod and it works pretty well. Its easy to do on the early high back seats coz the sides bend easily but Ive tried to do the same to the later seats and the sides wont bend.
The seat feels a lot more snug and secure but the downside ie that it does make the seat cloth wrinkle up. Mines not too bad coz Im of a 'robust' http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/smile.gif build but if youre of a thinner nature the sides have to be squeezed up quite alot to be a tight fit. But try it anyway, the sides can always be bent back.

Dave,
The seats on a '93 are different. This mod only works on the pre '92 high back seats.
