I have a CA18DET. It burns shed loads of oil. The head had been rebuilt and the turbo is a new exchange unit. I think the rings are shot since I the turbo bearing in 12 months. Turbo centre reckoned the sump is being pressurised by gases blowing past the pistons and putting an excessive strain on the turbo bearing. Anybody outhere removed and rebuilt one of these engines. Any ideas on expected costs, problems or tips for removing and fitting the engines will be appreciated.
