This is the 21st Rolling Road Day we've organised and we're pleased to announce it is being held at Gotboosts brand new premises at Muzzrace in Brackla, Bridgend, housing a new state of the art Mainline Dynolog Chassis Dynamometer. We have secured prices of £30 per car (normally £50) for which you will get 2 back to back power runs with printouts measuring both power and torque for each run.

377BHP with no traction and a very iffy 1.0Bar of boost :nod:

Car was being a pig and the current mods are to eliminate the issues highlighted by that rr session :wack: i like to take my time over things lol

Im going to be running a constant 1.5 Bar of boost with a bit of luck once the latest mods/repairs are done :nod:

LOL, the way the Dastek worked ( coastdown ) has its flaws, there is always a battle of wits between the major dyno manufacturers. I work with what i got, and as long as the results are consistant and repeatable that ias whats important.

The Mainline only read WHP WTQ, and these are all that is graphed ( same as a Dyno Dynamics without the fudged flywheel figure display possible ).

A decent estimate for flywheel figures on a RWD car is -

(WHP+10)/0.88.
Ie 300whp = ~352bhp.

Im with you on the consistency of the setup though :nod:

Once you have a benchmark then as long as the rollers are consistent you know exactly where you are.

The problems arise when you have been using other rollers and them change half way though and get hit with a real reading that is not pleasing lol

The Mainline has been spot on, it really is in a class of its own. Unfortunatly some people who had run on the old Dastek may be in for a surprise, like i said - bring the tissue box!!

If im having trouble hitting my target with a fully working car then there is something seriously wrong with the build.

Im still in the process of ironing out the issues i have been having from the mapping stages before the last run on the rollers at the old place.

I have yet to wind the boost up to more than 1 BAR it's still quick but hopefully it can be far better at 1.5 BAR.

Stock cars hit stock figures ,good rollers in my eyes . I was a bit shocked to c them not strap down a mx5,e36 325 i think and a e36 m3. only rwd cars craig strapped was simons 14a and a sapp cos
