Need to ship a large box (about 8 ft long).
Called my usual company today and they said it wouldn't fit in their vans :(
Anyone think of suggestions?

nope sorry, cant help, thats a bit short notice tho, u would be looking at same day delivery really, not cheap
Whatever you do remember this.....
NOT PARCELFARCE!
These buggers lost my bodykit for weeks
Carriers I use all have a 2.3metre limit which I think is slightly less than 8ft. Can you shorten it a few inches?
(applies to Citylink and TNT)

If I took the zorst out of the box and wrapped it in cut up strips of cardboard box it would be easily under 8 ft but I can't think of an easy way of shortening the box itself. Bit late now anyway I'm fooking knackered and want me tea!!
Just measured it, its just over 2.5 metres.

I've used ANC for an exhaust before, but that was through my old employer, so I'm not sure what sort of cost u'd be looking at..
Papa is it not worth u setting up an account at a courier company? u sent quite alot of stuff from time to time, and ANC charge less than £10 per parcel, and as long as it fits in their van, and weighs less than 30kgs they have no problems..

LOL.
Just tried Amtrak - no can do (too big)
Tried a local firm called City Couriers. They will do it but it will be a one off delivery as its too big to use the normal "freight system."
Cost? £121
Phatty yeah I probably should but I tend to use them loads and then nothing for months on end!
