I've just bought a muchos cheap widescreen telly, but the catch is, it has some smallish scratch's on the glass front that create a rainbow effect when viewing.

Can I polish these scratchs out? I don't want to f*ck it up even more by wet and drying it..

You can get a glass polishing kit from places like Machine & Mart.

Basically, you soak a clay based powder in water. Soak this stuff up into a solid felt bob (like a cotton reel), then use this on a drill at 1000rpm with medium pressure to polish out the scratch.

I'm doing this at the moment on my windscreen.

It's VERY slow and it gets EXTREMELY HOT (hot enough to seriously burn), but it does work.

fantastic, exactly what I wanted to hear, I guess I'll probably have to not let it get to hot, so I don't melt any of the components.

Thanks m8 :)
