"Unnecessary road humps and road tolls will also be abolished"
"We will stop raising money from cameras for police to buy more cameras that encourage unsafe slow-down-speed-up driving and increase exhaust pollution."

Well they've got my vote!!
Sick of Tony cockface anyway!!
If they add to that list they will cut fuel duty by at least 50%, I could be tempted to give them my vote
Never voted before, might now..... Shame no parties ever keep to their promises though
Joking aside, they could probably win the election on that pledge alone.
Mind you, if they renaged they would never win one again......

Yes, JB, but think what they've done for crime, the NHS, asylum, roads, transport and defending our sovereignty from the corruption of the EU!

That's a pretty compelling case you've made for them there Rip. Are you a Labour Party election agent?

In my view, this means that it will cost MORE from the taxpayers money as teh M4 lane will have to be remarked. Oh, and what about speed cameras outside of schools?
Basically, the Tories know that they aren't going to win the next election and are clutching at straws. Unfortunately, these straws are what is being picked up on by the media, leaving the actual important stuff (ie how much money they are going to REMOVE from the NHS) behind.
Maybe I should be a politician. Vote Starion. That's what I say. I'll tax the air you breathe but remove all duty on fuel, how does that sound?
;)
There's only so much money you can throw at things and only so much you can tax people in order to do it before you have to accept that it's not working and it's time for someone else to have a go.
That time has arrived.

The NHS seems to be having so much money thrown at it that it must be drowning. Has there been any actual improvement? No. Because you can't improve things simply by throwing money at it.
The NHS needs a simplified and much more cost effective and competant management structure. The money saved from this can be spend on more nurses and doctors. Beaurocracy achieves nothing.
Better management will boost staff moral, poughing more of the money being frittered on the NHS into wages for shop floor workers (so to speak) will boost staff moral, which in turn will mean fewer staff leaving the NHS to work in the private sector and staff working harder and feeling less hard done by.
Building new hospitals would be good but so would cheering up the existing ones and spending a decent amount of money of cleanliness so that patients don't catch something wors in hospital than they came in with.
The government will never improve the NHS because it doesn't have the balls to put in place new decent management and flush out the many layers of managemetn that do absolutley nothing.
Speed bumps i dont have a problem with (apart from not being able to get over the daft ones) as i have never seen one on a long streight stretch of duel carrage way, or under every gantry on the lower section of the M25.......
Speed cameras however are just getting silly, as is the amount of tax we pay.
Speed Cameras = Stealth Tax.
Anyone who says different is talking out of their Arse

That is so true. like I said in another thread they care so little for the Doctors and Nurses they have at present theyre importing from other countries. they cant afford to do anything else after the wage pakets go out for all the managers and buracratic shit that goes on. My misses was an acting F for a few months and hated it as all she did was attend meetings and fill out paperwork instead of being on the ward doing her job. the trust is talking of not paying for any training so they will have to pay for it themselfs at an average of 2~3000 pounds a course. They have to pay IIRC £80 a year to keep there registration which I think is stupid, why should they have to pay to go to work.
The tory's have a good idea in there passport scheme, which in theory should work well, instead of pouring money in willy nilly they actualy try to tackle the underlying problems.
